When we got married, things were okay, she wasn't really sick. She took better care of herself even though I still had to do the lion share of the work around the house.... I worked 3 jobs, took care of her our house (inside/out) and our pets. In the last year I've realized she is taking advantage of my good nature and am considering leaving. In the last 2 years she has gotten worse and only wants to take her medication and not follow any other recommendations by the doctors. She will not exercise, take her meds with water (as stated in the prescription) she wants to do what she wants and if I say anything she gets upset. She hasn't worked in about 2 and a half years and she helps her aunt about 5 hours a day and that is all she does. She does nothing and will do nothing to help herself. I've tried being nice and doing everything for her and then started trying to get her interested in taking care of herself to no avail. I'm now just getting mad, depressed and lost. I have no idea what else to do. I used to love her but I can't sit around and watch her destroy herself and I'm tired of the constant pitty parties. No matter what is wrong with me I have no choice but to remain quiet, suck it up and move on because if I try to talk to her maneuvers the conversation to her problems and that is it. She says she loves me and tells me she appreciates me but I think that is mostly just to keep me around. Why would you expect everything and give nothing to someone you love. I've never asked anything from her and at the beginning of our marriage I was happy to do as much as I could but I can't do it anymore. I've talked to her family looking for help and istance and I get nothing. They either laugh things off or just say "you know how she is, I just don't know what to do with her"... They don't try to make her understand what she is doing to her life or mine for that matter... Can someone please offer some insight if they have any... I'm very distraught at this point. I've been faithful to my wife even thought it has been over six months since we've been "together"... I have needs but once she takes her meds she is out of it. Sewage smell coming from city basement (chicago, 4 floor apt, new construction)?

Hi, I have a terrible sewage smell coming from a room in my basement. I live in an apartment complex (bottom 2 floors) and this smell is coming from a sewage collection room under the stairs. In this room there are 2 PVC pipes running into separate tanks which are housed in the floor (the tanks have a shape similar to sump pumps with covers). The smell seems to be completely random. It doesn't smell outside/bathroom/laundry room or anywhere else besides this room (although it is extremely strong and stinks up the whole basement). Also there is no drain in the floor to put water into. If anybody knows how to get rid of this stench it would be really appreciated. Thanks

As long as there is a giant toy (Christmas tree) in her presence, she will want to play with it. I've tried everything you can imagine through the years and can ure you that a determined cat will not be deterred from the Christmas tree no matter how hard you try. You can spray her with water, shoo her, sprinkle/spray things on the tree and everything else but she'll still get into it when you're not looking if she really wants to. That's a thoughtful gift. Just be sure when you make the brittle, to do it on a day when it's not humid. Store in in a tin with a tight lid. Use a thick pan, bring the candy to 250 degrees and add peanuts. Keep stirring because it's important you don't burn or scorch the candy. When it reaches 290 degrees, pull the pan off the heat asap. It's nrmally 300 degrees but to be on the safe side, I pull the pan away 10 degrees early just in case. You don't want the mixture to reach over 300. It won't have that good brittle texture. When you pour it out, make sure the surface of where ever your pouring the brittle out on is well ered or sprayed with cooking spray.

Should I feel guilty for receiving all these fine newborn gifts?

I am a full time student and I signed up for an Adopt A Family charity project my school does. Essentially someone adopts somebody less fortunate and gets them presents for the holidays. Anyways i signed up and i didn't want anything for myself but I wrote down everything I could think of for my baby (im due in 6 weeks) And just last friday I received MOUNDS of clothing, a stroller, a car seat, a baby swing, feeding pillows, diaper bag, hi chair, 130.00 cash, and a 200.00 fred meyer gift card! They also informed me they were getting me a crib and that they were going to come before my little one arrives and set it up, and they already gave me everything for the crib minus the mattress and crib itself! I was stunned to say the least. I couldn't believe I was getting all these beautiful gifts. So should I feel guilty? All of these were from some of my teachers, and other faculty members.. I feel guilty because I know that i should be buying this on my own, but I feel so blessed that they were given to me.. I wrote them a nice thank you card and gave them chocolates but i feel like i should do something more to give back.

Okay, the basics - She is 4 about to be 5. Her father and I have been together since she was 2, but she thinks I have been there since she was born. I have Ulcerative Colitis and may need to take Prednisone...?

Okay I'm a girl and 15 and have been suffering with Ulcerative Colitis for a year now. My gastrointerologist prescribed me with inflammatory medications such as asacol and these enemas that i took for a little while. But with my luck, I happened to be allergic to an ingredient in there (mesalime)..don't know how to spell it. So now I have been taking entocourt EC (3 pills a day) along with hydro-cortisone enemas at night. I've been taking them for 3 months and still no luck. I have an upcoming appointment and my last resort is taking the steroid Prednisone. I don't know what to do because it will make me gain weight and I already have an over eating problem and it will only get worse. I do exercise (treadmill 30 mins a day). I REALLY don't want to take this steroid because I weigh 115 lbs and i'm 5'1 and I don't want to ever go over that weight at this point in my life. If I do end up having to take it, is there anything i can do so I won't gain the weight? Thank you so much.

my 7 month old cairn terrier/bichon mix developed a baldin (not completly bald) on her back about a month ago. It looks a brownish color and is flaky. She was tested for mange and mites which was NEGATIVE, and given an antihistamine and a fatty acid supplement with the dx of dry itchy skin. There has been no improvement at all.... still itchy, flaky, sometimes irritated looking if she bites at it..... im not sure what to do now. the vet has to get back to me .....i was thinking allergies or a flea bite ??? any thoughts or suggestions what this could be or what to do?????

Friday at noon. I'm concerned because before that day he didn't go for 2 days. He is being fed with the exception of 1-2 feedings where I supplemented with formula due to the fact I was so sore from feeding. Then that's when he didn't go for 2 days, I went back to milk then he went that Friday at noon, but that has been all since. I'm concerned why he isn't going. He has had plenty of wet diapers all day long and lots of gas but nothing more. What could be the problem? What should I do? He does have a Dr's appointment coming up so should I wait for the appointment or take him in or call about it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My question is. I have a 16 year old stepdaughter, that I have raised since she was four years old. I have brought her up to be a responsible,self efficient and strong young lady. No raise in 3 years...HELP!?

I have been working in a restaurant for 3 years. When I started out, I was making $5.15 as a hostess. By law, the minimum wage in GA was raised to $6.55 earlier this year. I recently found out that a girl who has only been at my job for 3 months got a $2 raise to $8.50 an hour, and I am still making minimum wage, after 3 years! Not only is it ludicrous, but I can't talk to my manager because he makes himself completely unavailable and is very mean. My other manager brought up in a manager meeting that I should get a raise and my GM immediately shot it down, saying that I don't do all of the steps(talking to the guests on the way to the table, talking about the soup of the day, etc), but that is a total lie! He then went on to say that the other girl does and that's why she got a raise. But she doesn't do all the steps all the time either. This manager is known for showing extreme favoritism to some, and not speaking at all to many others. This is only a small piece of the picture. He is also fudging numbers(so he looks good to his OD), terminating people out of the system weeks after they should be so his turnover looks good, changing peoples hours from pm to am so he will hit his labor, putting people he doesn't like on 1 day a week with no explanation, etc. He is also best buddies with the OD, and some people that have gone to the OD about him have been treated differently once he finds out.

I would lean toward a fuel pump, have you checked fuel presure? I was also thinking timing.....but with a new engine you would think it would be fine. I would clean the throttle body (use a rag soaked in cleaner, do not spray it directly into the throttle body) The set the base idle speed: Clean the throttle body. Bring the engine up to operating temperature. Check and be sure the base timing is set correctly. Shut off the engine. Ground the set timing connector. Also ground pin #10 in the diagnostic connector. Start the engine and check the idle engine speed. It should be 750 RPM, + or - 50 RPM on non turbo engines and 800 RPM, + or - 50 RPM on turbo engines. If not, adjust as necessary using the adjustment screw located on the top of the throttle body. It is usually covered with a rubber plug. Remove the plug to adjust, then reinstall it when finished. Shut off the engine and remove the jumper wires. Base idle speed is now set.

When I try to cut and paste a MsWord doc. into QuarkXpress, I lose the fonts, italic, bold, etc.?

I am trying to import my novel into QuarkXpress and lay it out how I would like it to look, instead of some basic format. However, all my fonts aren't there, it's Arial instead of Times New Roman, and no tab for the paragraphs. I can fix the tabs, but, I don't want to go thru 200 pages to fix all the bold and italics, as there are many. Please Help :(

You can walk anywhere in the day in Paris. It is very safe. I would avoid walking at night in the 18,19,20. The Champs-Elysees can get sleazy on the weekend nights but has some good bars/cafes. I'm of the opinion that the 5th Latin Quarter is boring and trashy. I wouldn't spend much time there. 7th and 16th are residential. 8th is where the party is. 13 is Chinatown. 6th has great little cafes and bars, especially in the Rue des Canettes/Rue Princess area. I would stick with the 1, 6, 7, 8 if I were you. These are my favorites.

Even though i dont like Bush i still think that is pure immaturity and disrespect on the journalist part , true Bush did do alot of nasty things to Iraq and its people but he also helped them become more independent and stronger. Even though Bush isnt that great of a President he still deserves some respect. The Journalist got himself into a sh!t load of trouble not to mention the loss of respect that he had, im sure not just from Americans but also Arabs. Ugh MORE Problems....?

Most of you know about my horse colicing yesterday afternoon well the vet came out used oil and he was fine. Any I stayed with him for awhile and he was fine. Well we fed him he started acting sick again kicking up at his stomach and rolling we walked him around and had diarriah. We decided to move him to our friends so he could be in a pasture and be watched all day. Anyway he was laying down but we fed him at night very little and started to lay down and kicking up his stomach but he was not thrashing i called the vet and vet said if he gets worse bring him in. its sunday and after hours anyway i checked on him an hour later and he was laying rolling around so i took him in the vet he had diarriah vet listened to his gut they sound good and he is going potty. The vet said to leave him there at night and they will let me know in the morning. I am so worried anyway until i hear from vet tomorrow could this still be colic even tho he is going number two what else could it be???? He wanted to eat but he layed down while he was eating so i took his food away which i feel so bad but vet told me on the phone to do so. What do you think it could be? I know you can tell with out seeing him but could it still be colic?

HIstorical fiction is really my favorite, but even that is mostly fiction. Personally, when I do read non-fiction, it is either a biography, an autobiography, a royal history of some sort, or a psychology book. Royal history is my favorite, though. Gotta love those crazy monarchs.

New Private School! HELP?

Well, I don't go to any of these schools, but I do go to a private school. It doesn't really matter what school you go to, there are still going to be cliques and popular people and unpopular people, nerds, jocks, emos, etc. But private school is a lot different than public school. They are usually smaller than public schools, so the students are closer. It's a generally nicer environment as well. I mean, there are still people who are going to be mean to other people, because that's just high school. But at my school there are "popular" people who are friends with nerds, it's pretty much just who they think has a good personality. I don't know if any of these schools are boarding schools, but mine is, and that also makes the students closer. But i guess in reality, every high school has the things you listed, and it's just an experience you have to go through. hope i helped with all of my rambling.

And you may not think that she drinks a lot of water, because she gets moisture, and liquid from the fruits and veggies she eats. And someone said you feed them water with a syringe, you don't feed them with the needle on the syringe...you take it off lol. I am hand-feeding a Sun Conure right now, and we feed with of course, with the needle off. It is a VERY bad idea to feed a bird water with a syringe, as one:they can choke. Two: They will become depended on you to give them water every day for the rest of their lives...And three:why in the WORLD would someone feed a healthy, independent bird with a syringe? How could fingerprints from a stranger inside a vehicle that was broken into be enough evidence to arrest? 2nd?

I have had many debates about this. The answers have went both ways. Basically the scenario goes, there is a car that had it window smashed in. The owner came back and called the police. The police found prints inside that they later matched to a person that the victim does not know. There is no other evidence beside the prints. Now, many feel this is enough to make an arrest and charge the person with crime. Others, me included, feel that the simple fact that the vehicle is in a public lot and has been there open for who knows how many hours makes the fingerprints of less value. Since the window is smashed out the inside of car is now more essable to others. A perby could have noticed it and touched it on the inside, someone could have scavenged through it. However, unlikely the situation might be, it is still plausible. In the past I have closed and lock doors that were mistakenly been left open in a parking lot. So if that car was involved in a crime and my prints were found should I have been arrest without hearing my side. Or what if someone noticed the car had been broken into and the doors were left open and they took it upon themselves to secure the car? It happens. Should they be arrested? So my question is do you think the presence of prints inside of a vehicle would be enough to arrest and charge?

I updated to service pack 3, now no visual styles work. Wtf?

I just updated to service pack three in xp. I can't run any visual style besides windows clic, not even standard XP themes. the media center theme would be tolerable, but it says an exception occurred when I ran that and when I tried the basic XP skins it said "Windows has closed the program "Run DLL as app" for your protection. Then that program crashed and I had to click the close on for that too. Is this some new and dumb security feature in SP3? How can I fix this?

Becoming an LPN can take about 2 years, if you want to work as an LPN for a few years while you go to school for you RN or just work as an LPN to save some money and then go back for RN is up to you.
