Why the **** is my mom so ******* controlling?

I like my hair long, not like long long, but like down to my eyebrows long. Everytime I get a haircut which i do not like to get it looks insanely dumb. My mom makes me get these and she also likes to tell me that the way i comb my hair looks dumb. But i get compliments all of the time that i look good, or that im cute from girls my age. She has some strange obsession with wanting me to comb my hair more to the side than straight down, even though it looks extremely hott (sry, but i have to say it). idk why she thinks it looks so good how she likes it. Maybe its cuz shes from the 60's. And we are going to my grandpas country club for a christmas brunch next sunday and shes like, "i am combing your hair then and on christmas eve too when we go to ur aunt and uncles house. I wanna say **** off *****. but id get grounded forever. I no that im just going to comb it the way i want right before we leave, but still. is there any way to compromise with her and make her believe that it looks better teh way i want it?
