Can I improve my SAT scores in verbal, and writing?
Buy some SAT preparation books. I recommend Barrons for writing. It is very comprehensive with it's grammar and usage rules. Meanwhile for the verbal section, read a variety of articles daily to improve your comprehension of subject matter and prose. Read articles on art, current events, science, social science, critiques. The newyorktimes is a great site. Also, consistently read novels and high level literature, as this will help you with your essay by giving you examples to use, and improve your reading speed for the pages. I recommend To Kill a Mockingbird, and 1984 by George Orwell. Just remember to read in general. For vocabulary, start building it with the high frequency word list that you can find online or in all the major prep books. Good luck.
