Getting a cat from the shelter. I absolutely love 2 of them, how do I choose?

Ahhh it's so hard to choose. I am partial to the black ones, cause I absolutely did not want a black one and ended up getting one and I absolutely love him. The humane society I got mine from said that they take longer to adopt, because of superstition, there is also an entire month that most humane societies will not let black cats be adopted. I was just afraid I'd step on him in the dark(which I do). Keep in mind a black cat should not be an outdoor cat because of psychos out there and they can't be seen easily.
