How to my cat away from the Christmas tree?

My family and I setted up the Christmas tree this evening, and my 3-year-old Bengal cat is already looking at it. Last year, he knocked it over twice. How can I prevent my cat from attacking/knocking down our Christmas tree? Oh yes, and can anyone tell me what a cat would like for Christmas?
