My short haired cat is giving me static shocks. how can i stop this?

Use an oil-based moisturizer on your hands and face. You can also mage a little olive, almond, walnut, or coconut oil into your cat's fur. The dryness of winter air makes this problem worse and I have a Van mix also (his name is Rusty but I call him Pumpkin Head a lot) and I have the same issues with his fur, but not the Coon's or the domestic short hairs'.
