You are attractive. There's nothing ugly about you. Is she a different race than you? I know this should have nothing to do with it, but are you in a different "clique" or "popularity group" than she is? From what you have said, she may like you but is afraid of what other people think if she talks to you... Bring this up to HER. Be honest with how you feel and your concerns. That is all you can do. If she still acts this way, then you really shouldn't want to be with her anyway.
