Why am I so empathetic?

I'm 15 and a guy in the 10th grade and I'm A pretty normal teen but I have this thing where When ever someone I care about is a little sad...I feel terrible. I'm not a sissy or anything it's just, I get really attached to certain people in my life and I feel soooo bad when they do . Any advice?!
