Good book recommendation?

I am a teen boy, 14, and I want a good read which I typically don't read at all. I usually read higher thinking stuff than normally and stuff that isn't so popular. I also like to read books that are being turned into movies. So if anyone has any recommendations that would be lovely oh and also I might read Watchmen and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas...are those good books too?
