This one problem in ecology...?

Many different species is critical for the survival of some forms of life when significant changes occur in the ecosystem (b). This is because life forms may be sensitive to changes such as temp., availability of water, certain foods (prey), etc. If there were only one or a few species they would quickly die when changes occurred.
