What were the daily lives of union and confederate soldiers?
Pretty boring, really. Sat around cold and hungry during the winter, and boiling to death during the summer. They'd sit around and play cards, the musicians would toy with their instruments. Smoking and chewing tobacco when they could get it. Pretty much both sides spent their time fighting for their lives on and off of the battle field, when times got rough. They'd take some time to clean their weapons, and fix up the injured if there was anyone hurt about. That's if they were sitting still. If not, they'd spend all day walking from as far as the northerest states and southerest states to get to the front of the war. Hours upon hours upon hours of walking.
